Mariah
Mariah brings eight years of experience in veterinary medicine and animal care. Before joining WNVH, she worked as a Veterinary Assistant at Santa Fe Pet Hospital, a Kennel Technician at The Dog House Inn, and at Merced County Animal Shelter, all in California. She earned her Certification of Completion as a Veterinary Assistant from Gavilan College in Gilroy, California. She moved from CA to MA for new beginnings with her family.
Mariah has loved animals from a young age, often spending her childhood watching Animal Planet documentaries and bringing stray animals home despite her parents’ protests. Her own dogs and cats have provided her with comfort and companionship through difficult times in her life, inspiring her to find a way to give that same love and kindness back to animals. That passion ultimately led her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. She enjoys helping wherever she can, whether that means assisting a veterinarian during surgery, obtaining blood samples for laboratory work, taking radiographs, answering client questions, or simply spending time comforting and talking to a nervous patient. She especially enjoys helping animals feel safe and comfortable while they are in her care.
What Mariah loves most about working at WNVH is the kindness and patience of the team. She appreciates being surrounded by colleagues who genuinely care about their patients and clients, are willing to teach, and encourage her to continue growing her skills. She also admires the knowledge and dedication of the doctors and their commitment to providing patients and their families with thoughtful, understandable care.
Outside of work, Mariah enjoys gaming with friends, listening to metal music, watching crime shows, and going for walks. She loves spending time with family and her pets: three dogs, Roscoe, Pepper, and Jalapeño, and her cat, Cheeseburger.
