Services

The range of services available in veterinary medicine continues to expand, and rivals that available in human medicine.  We are dedicated to bringing those advances into practice so that your pet can benefit from the highest quality care.

Wellness Care & Diagnostic Treatment

At Wellesley-Natick Veterinary Hospital we offer treatment to dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs and small mammals. We encourage annual wellness check-ups that include physical examinations, vaccinations, laboratory testing, parasite analysis, nutritional and dental recommendations.  Puppies and kittens require a variety of vaccines the first year. Puppy and kitten clients will receive an informational package designed to help answer common questions regarding their new pet. We encourage clients to have their senior pets examined every six months. We offer senior wellness packages containing educational information on how to care for your senior pets' changing needs.

Wellesley-Natick Veterinary Hospital is well equipped with up to date equipment including an in-house ultrasound machine, laboratory, radiology equipment and digital dental x-ray. We also provide chemotherapy. If your pet requires specialty services, we have access to a board certified veterinary cardiologist who we will schedule to perform ultrasounds at our hospital.

              Surgical Treatments

Our doctors and technicians provide safe, appropriate anesthetics based on your pets' needs. Patients will be required to have a pre-anesthetic blood screening and clients will be instructed on diet restrictions before their scheduled surgery. Our operating suite is equipped with monitoring systems to help technicians and doctors monitor and record vital signs from the time your pet is anesthetized until full recovery. The monitoring system includes oxygen saturation, temperature, heart, respiration rate and blood pressure measurements. The post-operative hospitalization will depend on the particular situation. If your pet has to stay at the hospital for an extended period of time, we encourage you to visit your pet during the recovery process as long as the visits are scheduled in advance.
Our experienced doctors provide a variety of soft tissue surgeries, although some surgeries require specialty services. In these cases, we  have access to a board-certified surgeon who will perform orthopedic and soft tissue surgery at our hospital.

        Microchip Pet Identification

We offer the RESQ ID SYSTEM for pet identification. Thousands of pets have been reunited with their families that have been implanted with the RESQ ID chip. For your own pet's safety and security we highly recommend having your pet microchipped.

                      Pharmacy and Medications

Our hospital offers a full service pharmacy to fill your pet's prescription needs. To save time, you may phone in your doctor-approved refills and we will have your prescription filled and ready for pick up. If more convenient, we would be more than happy to mail you your order.

                      Boarding

As a service to our clients, Wellesley-Natcik Veterinary Hospital offers boarding for both dogs and cats. Our experienced animal care assistants help make your pets stay both pleasant and comfortable. For safety of all pets in our care, we do require that all vaccines be up-to-date. Animals with special medical needs are closely monitored by doctors and technicians. Space is limited and reservations must be made in advance. For more information, please call for details.

               Emergency Service

We will make every effort to respond to your call. If you have an after hours emergency, you will be referred to the doctor on call or you will be referred to an area emergency clinic, especially if your pet needs immediate intensive care.
